Finished an actual floorplan of the House - 'cause you know, we really should be able to figure out where people/rooms/things are. I've also put in what I think is a good solution to the "bottom floor seeming way too small" issue. If we get that stuck door unstuck, in the game, then we free up some more living space - which also solves the problem of that there's some characters who really shouldn't have to deal with stairs all the time. So... thoughts? I could still make some adjustments, if needed.

How do the upper floors fit on the bottom? I'm not especially visually oriented on my good days and right now my brain is utterly dead. It's not making sense to my head or anything, I guess.
Other than that, squee! Also, is that library...stocked?

Oh, it's pretty, but I'm confused.
To me, it looks like the red door leads to the Living Room and thus blocked the Kitchen and the Living Room (and the front door) from the rest of the House.
But I like the visual. Seriously, it helps.

OMGYES FLOORPLAN OF THE HOUSE! Hmm. I'm gonna second Souleh's comment about the upper floors perhaps not fitting on the bottom. I'm not getting how that will work, either. Maybe, if I'm right and the upper floors actually aren't big enough, we could add some additional, smaller rooms? (One-person, two-person, etc.) I think I asked a question to that effect (on the Questions? Comments? board) sometime in July. If I'm just mis-interpreting the map, and there really is no first-floor-upper-floor discrepancy, then just ignore me. Another question: are any of the numbered rooms on the first floor perhaps not, like, residents' rooms? Could one of them maybe be, I dunno, an exercise room, or a storage room, or a dining room, or a study, or whatever other rooms we had discussed when we last talked about extra rooms for the House? I still like the idea of at least some of them, if not most of them, being residents' rooms (yay for the House being handicapped-friendly!). But a music room, laundry room, rec room (maybe even with a pool/ping-pong table!), or whatever else would sure be fine by me. I dunno, though, I'm just throwing stuff out there.

I agree with Tobey on there being some rooms that aren't bedrooms. Especially a rec room. Relieve some of the boredom that no doubt has to kill those residents that can't exactly wander outside to find entertainment. A laundry room would make sense, too.
HOW HAVE THESE PEOPLE BEEN WASHING THEIR CLOTHES ANYWAY.

Ok, some very good points.
See the stairs? The stairs on the ground floor line up with the stairs nearest the exterior wall. I'll put together a graphic showing how tomorrow, if you need it.
The Sealed Door o' Doom does not block access to either the front door or the back door. It basically blocks access to the hallway - the stairs lead directly off of the living room, so that the upper floors are accessable but the rest of the ground floor is not.
You're all right, we need more rooms that arn't bedrooms. Some of that room on the ground floor could be changed... and we could do something with that attic that must be there, but I've just written off as "unfinished." And maybe a basement, too? Basements are good.

Oooh, I never even thought about a basement. Basements are indeed good. All spooky and mysterious, maybe. And that would be a sensible place to put a laundry room or a storage room, if we decide to have such things. Rec rooms can go in basements, too.
And I'm not necessarily having trouble understanding how the stairs line up, but rather it's the fact that it looks like the first floor is bigger than the upper floors. Maybe the first floor is supposed to be bigger? I'm just not getting how that works.

Oooooh, basements....
My state is basement-deprived

Even an unfinished attic could be used for something. Storage, maybe. Not that anyone owns oodles of stuff, but, say, for things no one really knows what to do with. Or misbehaving residents, bwahahahahahaha.
Also, a basement would add another varied environment. Basements are dark and cool, after all. These things might be important to some people.

So basement=good. We'll keep that in mind. I'm going to do an updated, final version of the floorplan once we've got all the issues more or less ironed out. Where do you suppose the basement door should be? Maybe the kitchen? Or we could have a storage room on the first floor that has the basement door in it. A couple more pictures, for clarification: How the floors line up: Yeah, the upper floors are smaller than the ground floor. Like so: What's blocked off: I'm not sure I've said this clearly in my last post, so a handy-dandy graphic is in order. The shaded part is the part they havn't been able to get to.

If everyone works together, they could accomplish ANYTHING!
What's gunna work? Teeaaamwork!
Innywho, I can picture it now--Adrian and Kat, side by side, trying to break down El Secret Door.

One thing I want to know is: How did nobody ever manage to open the door when we've had at least, like, a dozen telekinetic experiments in the House at one point or another, and several more people with superhuman strength? That must be one helluva stuck door.
As for where the basement entrance should be, I think the door ought to lead off of the main hallway; that just seems to be where basement doors always are. So then I was thinking the stairway to the basement could be right underneath the stairway that goes upstairs, and I noticed that there just happens to already be a door there. I guess that was supposed to be a closet or something next to the library, but it could be a staircase instead, if we wanted it to be.

I don't know. I guess it is one pretty stubborn door. Perhaps burning it is the answer.
=D
And Kat says that she'd looooooooooove to work with Adrian... she's been rather hungry.

Maybe no one's ever really bothered? Maybe it's blocked by a bunch of stuff in the hallway, and because no one can actually see said stuff, they assume it's just stuck? Or maybe, it's just too much stuff for one person to move, and no one's ever bothered to team up with someone? Or maybe it just doesn't make sense.
And I like your theory on the placement of the basement steps, Tobey.
Gee, thanks Zim. I really love it when he gets irrational and paranoid and insists that /see/, she really /is/ out to get him. Thanks so much.

Don't listen to her, she's silly.
And imagine what you could pull out of thick air...

Not much. It would be stuck.
