Name: Tyler Thompson
Age: 16
Birthday: April 3, 1990
Gender: Male
Place of origin: Whatever city the House is in
Lab: Camp Sunshine
Age at time of capture: 16
Age at time of escape: . . . whatever makes you think he's going to?
Type of experimentation performed: Mexican free-tailed bat and pangolin DNA
Physical description: Tyler has light brown hair and rather paranoid-looking hazel eyes. He's slightly shorter than average, and somewhat scraggly-looking, as if he's a bit on the malnourished side. His clothes are ragged and dirty, and he smells faintly of alcohol and various drugs. His experimentation has given him orange-brown bat wings where his arms should be, but he can't really fly with them. Between his shoulder blades, there's a small (maybe four inches in diameter) patch of skin that's covered with pangolin scales.
Personality: Tyler always seems to need to prove himself to everyone else, and although he has a rather delicate ego, he responds with hostility when that ego is threatened. Because of this, he bends easily to peer pressure. He's suspicious of just about everyone, but at the same time, he takes a dim view of moral values such as honesty. It's like 'why should I be all moral and honest and good, if I'll be the only one?'
History: Tyler grew up with his mother, never having known who his father was. He lived in a bad neighborhood, where crime and drugs were pretty common, and as a result, he's spent some time hanging around various gangs, and has done a lot of different drugs, not all of them legal. In an attempt to keep him out of trouble, Tyler's mother and Julian's aunt (who had already known each other) started bringing their sons along when they visited each other, in hopes that they would become friends and would mutually look out for each other. It worked, and Tyler and Julian have since become good friends in their own right.
Several years later, when Tyler was 15, Julian dared him to go into a haunted house. It turned out to be /the/ House, and Tyler spent the next few months trying to tell himself that he hadn't really seen anything. It had just been a dream, or a drug-induced hallucination, or something like that. And of course, he couldn't tell anyone about it, because they'd think he was insane. So he didn't talk to anyone about it, never even speaking of it to Julian. He was afraid that if he acknowledged it was real, he'd be proven right.
