I don't see why not, but, what would the rules be?
I still stand for the all literacy levels idea, but I like giving higher-standard rules.

Sure, go ahead and write them. I guess basic rules, no GM PP, and other stuff. Whatever P sees fit, I guess.

Yaaaay! I get to make the rules!
Well. About the literacy thing. What if posts are required to be a certain number of sentances or words. That will get rid of oneliners....I think. I mean. Of course, we all have those days were we just can't write a lot, so we can allow some lieniecny.
So...yeah... RULES! YAY!

No measuring by words. And I don't think there's a character-counter. So I think there should be a four-or-five sentence minimum in general (you don't need a huge post to have a good one, and we can't expect semi-literate people to made huge, elaborate posts).

Dudettes I am totally back.
I like everything so far. Purple is the best color in the fvcking world, by the way. Except, ahm. On the new site? 'Excepting all new members' should be 'Accepting...' so yeah.
As for the literacy thing, I agree that it should be open to everyone, but rules should be in place to manage the amount of errors and/or laziness and such. ...And this is coming from someone who always hated that open-to-everyone rule. Of course, I'm fairly sure you all have settled this.
For new leader of the House I nominate Adrian for comedic value.

Noooo! Purple is bad. It makes Princess feel icky. The Rules are done....I just don't know if I should post them here for approval first... I dunno.... Sorry I haven't really been around... I've been horribly distracted my my new PS3... >.<

-harpoons ps3-
Now you can spend more quality time with US!! -grins-
Purple's cool. You're just jealous. (By the way, Souleh, green owns purple any day- Duh.)
Kat and Adrian could rule SIDE BY SIDE! The Wonder Experiments!
Um... I don't care. I guess you should post 'em here first. So we can add on if we feel like it.

Oh, god, you guys are good. I worry that the site had died, and come back to find that it's getting an overhaul? Have I mentioned that I love you, lately? No, I haven't. Because I haven't been here lately. Bad Lunar! Bad! (If you don't completely hate my guts for disappearing on you and you want to squee over my re-appearance, I've got another thread announcing my return. I don't want to interrupt the wonderfulness going on here with that kind of thing.) (You can tell it's 12:14 am, can't you? Lunar needs sleeeeeep...) ANYWAYZ... I'm back, and planning on bringing both Zepher and Eric back ASAP. But they'll have been gone, and we can totally work that into the plot. I'm not sure yet as to whether Bea will be back, but she might. Again, plot-fodder, if I decide to bring her back.

-poses- I know we're good, baby.
Eh, I wish I had more to do with the idea of it, though ^^' Kudos to Princess.
Hmmms. So. How would this fit into the idea of the time-skip? They'll be coming back on THIS site, or the new one? So, if Bea dissapears... It totally means there's another scientist out there who knows too much (heh, now I feel like we have to send out the experiments's mafia)? Hmmmmmmmmsssss.

HOLYMUFFINSOFeffMASTERSLUNAR!
That makes me a happy little--creature, as does my new iPod, Lysander.
So, should we still have the time skip? And we'll have to change the name of the admin account. Anyone have any ideas? And if Bea is not back, then should we work in another spy character? And we need to have a major discussion about the plot. Who is going to bring back whom, so we know who we are going to work with.
Personally, I am getting rid of English and Gabriel, I think--he can be an occasional character, but he is not living in the House anymore.
Umm, and should we add a bit more categories to the profile? Maybe a personality section, some really general appearance points, like--height, weight, eye color, hair color, skin color, and a bulleted list of odd, extraneous, experiment parts? Just for really quick reference, so we don't have to read through the whole appearance section? Those are useful.
I could do it, if no one objects.

I know people were saying they did not like the purple/blue skin, so I made a new background in green and black. I could throw together a new banner as well to match. Do you guys like it? Should I try again? Other colors?

Okay first of all...here are the rules that have been sitting on my computer for like a week...
1. No godmodding or powerplaying. It's lame, so don't do it. 2. All posts must be at least five beautifully written sentances. Everyone has those days where they just can't write anything so we can be lienient sometimes. 3. All posts must be written in third person and in anapestic ocameter. Post like you're writing a book. This means no ** for actions, please. Write a nice sentance like this: A slim girl, with thick, red hair tumbling down her back in soft curves of fibers, practically skipped, as her energy was quite high and unused, into the empty bedroom of her parents. 4. Please don't be rude to other people on the site. Thanks. 5. NO MARY-SUES! EVER! PERIOD! If the number of Sues gets out of contol, we're going to require that you Mary-Sue test your characters.
Thats all for now...yeah...

Wait--that sentence looks familiar. I feel like we need more--maybe a graphics size limit? And how many characters per account? One per each account? Or like we have it now? And Princessssssss--I love you.

Ok, so, the quick and dirty of what I've worked out as to why my characters went missing, and how that can work with timeskip - I'll be bringing 'em back on the new site, I think.
Both Zepher and Eric have been back at their old lab, although there are very, very few people at said lab who realize it. Dr. Marino, the head of Project Third Eye, has known about the House for quite some time, and sees it as equal parts project and penance for the hurt he's done with his work. Marino's not exactly a stable and sane guy, but tends to err on the side of paranoia and self-importance, so he's not likely to ever spread the word among his colleagues. He's also the one that sent out Bea, so he can just have recalled her.
Eric and Zepher will both know that Marino knows, but I'm not sure yet how much either will say to anyone on the subject. If they do, it'll definately be a good source of panic/paranoia/angst, but it doesn't have to come out right away.
On other topics...
I love both color schemes, Kitty. We will keep options to use both, right? The way we've got different skins on the old forum? The new forum's also proboards, so we should be able to do that.
Also, a more organized, comprehensive character profile form is a wonderful idea. And I'm starting to think that maybe we should have some kind of approval check... if we're trying to, you know, up the quality a little? Nothing big, maybe just have one of the mods approve, plus anyone who's characters would share backstory with a new character? I dunno.
Those rules look wonderful, Princess. Although I'd probably suggest having mods check the profiles, rather than requiring people to run characters through litmus tests. Those tests aren't really that reliable.
Multiple characters per account would probably still work best, I'd think...

I like the green and black, but I side with Lunar. Can we have booooooooth? Plz.
As for the rules, I think just about everything's there. However, I do agree with Lunar about the mod-approval vs. litmus tests. I just have a few nitpicks. Rule 1. I always thought it was 'godmoding', not 'godmodding', but I may be wrong. I've been out of the loop for ages. Rule 2. 'Sentance(s)' should be 'sentence(s).' 'Everyone has those days where they just can't write anything so we can be lienient sometimes' should become 'Everyone has those days where they just can't write anything, so we can be lenient sometimes.' Rule 3. See the first part of rule two's nitpicks. Also, uhm, I'm really hesitant about saying this, lest I be lynched, but that example sentence is a little...clunky. An example sentence should be practically perfect, not clunky, grammatically incorrect, filled with spelling errors and/or ponies, or anything else we'd like to avoid in the ideal post. Rule 4. No problems. I'd suggest an 'out of character' somewhere in there, considering that in character rudeness is a-okay, but I highly doubt that anyone is thick enough not to understand that it's implied. Rule 5. Fine, just ignore the menfolk, GAWD. (I am totally kidding.) Again, mod approval > litmus tests. Sometimes characters that score highly on those tests are not quite Sues, if played well. Suggestions for other rules: see Kitty's suggestions. A graphics size limit is lovely, as is a siggy size limit of some sort. I find that a maximum of two inches is a good size. Giant siggies make me want to commit suicide. C: I think the number of characters per account should stay the same as it is here. It's just a pain to have multiple accounts, but people could always choose to do it that way if they wanted.
Sorry for the nitpicks and such, but rules should be immaculate if they're to be taken seriously.
Poor Zepher and Eric. D: Going back to the lab is no fun.
