One my friends is a backstabbing b i t c h. Well I guess she isn't really my friend anymore...
I hate her.
but yeah...this isn't really related to rebuilding the site... So I'm gonna stop talking about it.

Ugh, backstabbers are the worst.
About the overhaul . . . I like what I see so far. Is there anything I can do to help out?

Well, if you want, some of the rooms need descriptions, and some other stuff needs to be written. I'm not quite sure what off the top of my head, but yeah.
Nice to see you back.

Hmm, well, I think I'll just wait and see what other people want to write, and then I'll write the leftovers. I really have no preferance.
Plus, most of my brain juices are currently going towards my fanfic that I'm writing. I'm trying to do a chapter a week, plus extras for every ten reviews I get. If only I'd known when I made that goal just how popular my fic was going to be.

Fanfic on what? My friend is hassling me about writing a portion of our horrendously shallow, really bad, but totally epic fantasy novel.
Right now, however, I am writing the answers to a college counseling survey. It's sad.

Promise you won't laugh? Well, anyway, I'm writing, uh, Animorphs fanfic.
Okay, I know a lot of people think Animorphs was a little kids' series, but it really, really wasn't. It had a lot of interesting (often surprisingly dark) themes, and amazing characters. There were some mistakes (grammatical, punctuational, and otherwise), but I can overlook those, because the rest of the story makes up for them. I was really into Animorphs 'back in the day', and I recently picked it up again, and I was hooked all over. Now I can't get it off my brain, so I'm writing fanfic.
To give you an idea of how awesome the Animorphs series is, I think one of the characters from that series was my subliminal inspiration for Deltar. The only difference being that Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthil really /was/ an alien.
Sorry if I rambled. I tend to start babbling on when I'm talking about Animorphs. Anyway, that's cool (the novel, not the survey). What's the plot of your horrendously-shallow-really-bad-but-totally-epic fantasy novel going to be?

Hmm, it's based in this random society which worships these mythical creatures, a dragon, griffon, basilisk, and unicorn, who each represent on facet of the society. It's more complex than that, as is centered around a character for each creature, but that is the basic idea. I get to write the part of a queen acting as regent for her son, because her husband left five years before, but then he magically comes back and umm--drama happens. And an oracle who is sleeping with the unicorn, but I'm avoiding that part until I have to write it, because, despite the fact she's my character, I dislike her.
Yeah.
And I loved Animorphs so much as a kid. I read a buuuuunch of them. I wish people roleplayed animorphs. That would be amazing. God, I loved those books.

That sounds really neat. You don't suppose you could let me read it when you're done? What are you talking about? People DO roleplay Animorphs.Did you ever finish the series? I used to hate the ending, but now that I'm older, I still hate it, but love it at the same time. If that makes any sense.

Sure, you can read it. I doubt it will be very good. The idea might prove to complex.
But no one I know roleplays Animorphs.
And I don't think I ever did finish the series. I think I kinda outgrew them around book number 40 or something. I don't even remember.

I think you're just being modest. Your writing tends to be better than you give yourself credit for.
Gah. I'm twenty-one and I still haven't outgrown Animorphs. Does this say something about me? Hmm. Yes. Yes, I think it does.
Aww, you stopped right before the best part of the series. Right around book 45, everything starts going to hell, and there's all kinds of angst about the impending end of the world and all that. And they have to start abandoning all those morals they'd managed to keep up until that point. Best of all, that's when you really see how much everybody has changed because of the war.
And I should really shut up about Animorphs, now, before I COMPLETELY derail this topic.

ANIMORPHS. I read a few of those...? I think I got distracted by something else and was like 'forget this, there are like a million I can't get through these all' and ran off to one-shot novels or smaller series. Serieses?
I liked the guy who got stuck as a bird.
I'm so predictable.
BACK ON TOPIC.
I am too busy to write descriptions this week I will do it on the weekend or next week or something. Don't ever get sick and miss school it is hell.

Ah, don't worry too much about it. We need them eventually, but not right away.
Tobias, Souleh? He was my favorite as well.

Yep, Tobias was my favorite, too. Bird-people are just all-around awesome.
EDIT: To stay on topic, what is "Extra Character Background Information" going to be? Will it be like the 'background character' profiles, or characters' backstories? Whichever one it is, I think we also need to have the other one. If that sentence made any sense.
ANOTHER EDIT: Aren't there other types of experiments beyond Splices, Cyborgs, and Clones? What about experiments with abilities (Psys, for one), or things like Pipsqueak that aren't spliced with anything but aren't human either?

Oh, it can be the back stories. There can totally be another sub-board, like the one here, for extra character background profiles.

I added "Altered Genetics" and "Psychics." I feel like we might need a "Combination" and possibly an "Other" category, too, just so that people reading it don't feel limited by the options.
Are there any other categories I'm forgetting, that are perhaps too important to be lumped with "Other"?

I don't think so, but then, I might be forgetting something as well. But a "combination" and an "other" catogory might be spiffy.

"Combination" and "Other" are needed, yeah. I can think of at least two psychic splices we've had at one point or another.
Man, I need to get started on my stuff... I'll have at least a good chunk of it done tomorrow, I promise.
(Also, I was completely addicted to Animorphs when I was in middle school. I totally wanted to be Cassie... These days, the main series doesn't really hold my attention, but I still love the off-shoot books.))
