Buffy needs a room.
Deltar was cool.He would let her move in with him, without being to weird, right?Even though this was the boys floor...She wasn't one to stay close to the ground.Ew.that was ucky. And,seeing as she couldn't sleep on the roof without raising suspison...Plus,she said she would. So ha.
Carring a decently packed duffle bag full of things that "Just seemed to vanish from her room, just like that!",so says her mom.She seems to have her daughter's spirit haunting her old house, which keeps her mother on her toes,at least.Anywho, with one hand, she pushed open the door to the self-proclaimed Cambrian's room."'ello?"Her voice seemed alot more timid...On her previous visit to her old house to get her stuff, she caught her mom crying. It broke her to little teeny peices.
ooc;crap-tacular post,but being rushed v.v'

Deltar was in his room, playing with legos. He was making quite a mess on the floor, actually. He looked up from his work, holding a little lego person in a spacesuit in his claw-trunk. He recognised Buffy and said, "You may enter."

ooc;I had this post all pretty-like,and fixed to perfection.I got up for a minute.Tommy took the computer. And exited the site.
-growls-
In other words,I get discourged.Sorry for the wait ^-^'
bic; Lugging the bag in,she smiled."I haven't seen Lego's in years..."Setting down her stuff on one of the empty top-bunks,the girl climbed up,took out a faded, powder blue sheet and a matching pillow-case-covering-fluffy-pillow.While setting up her bedding area, her gaze kept returning to the Lego set.Ahh,it was too tempting!Nuuu!Hopping off the side of the bed, landing quite unsteadily,Buffy nearly nose-dived for the Legos.Without even asking permission, she started picked up and tinkering with the blocks like she did when she was five...Legos were a main source of happiness.SPLEEEEEEEEEE!!!

"Yes, they're quite fascinating devices. So many different ways to fit them together!" He looked at her with a bit of surprise when Buffy joined him in playing with legos (of course, he didn't think of it as "playing" as much as Buffy did. Building antimatter reversal beams was serious work!), but didn't seem to mind. Then he noticed the stuff she had brought into the room. "Do you wish to make of this chamber your primary residence, as well?" He was a little confused. He was pretty sure that males' and females' rooms were on separate floors. And he /thought/ Buffy was female . . .

"Oh,yes..."Taking a moment to blush, forgetting to ask entirely if he would share the room,"If it's okay with you.I kept telling myself I'd have to get a room on the third floor, regardless of gender mix-up."She wasn't exactly boy-crazy(Adrian's an exception),and she found no reason not to(hieght is gooood....)Going back to the legos for a moment, she realized thatshe had already created a multi-colored wall, and was working on her next one.Her goal....was a box.Yes,she had to start out small. It's been too long to go with anything too complicated.
"What are you building?I'm just starting with a box. It's been to long to go with anything too complicated."Oooh,repetitive-ness.Yay.Taking a moment to prop her annoying hair behind her ear,a problem that seems to follow her, dead /or/ alive.

Ah, Deltar thought. So she /was/ female, then. "Yes, that is alright with me," he said. Then he held up his device, which looked like a little ship with a swiveling yellow-green laser cannon. He'd used mostly the more intricate-looking pieces, and he seemed to like that transparent-ish yellow-green color. "It's an antimatter reversal ray," he explained. "It's not quite finished," he added.

ooc;Gasp!She /is/ female! @.@
bic;"Thanks..."Buffy was already trying to connect the four walls of her box,not finding too many simple box-shaped legos.Wait, there was a floor-type type peice a /little/ bigger than her creation, but it would work.Placing each wall on the bottom piece, she held up her box to inspect it.Not too many colors, but whatever. It wasn't a normal lego set.
"Woah...That kicks my box's butt",she said, staring at his detailed peice of work.But...did he know it was all in good fun? That legos did /not/...er...reverse...antimatter?It /would/ be quite some fun if he didn't.Heh.She could tease him about this."You know...this is play stuff, right? You put things together, you take 'em apart? The stuff you give kids to keep them busy and make messes in their rooms for parents to clean up type of stuff?"If he didn't get it,she would just have to explain.Maybe give him a guide to modern-day Earth.
ooc;-wonders where she could get the Hitchhicker's guid to the galaxy....-

Deltar just kinda sat there. He was never really sure what to do whenever someone contradicted his little fantasy world. Especially when it was so . . . logical. You can't really argue that legos are really high-tech things. This time, he decided to give in (at least for now). "I know that. Of course I know it play stuff, do you think I idiot?" Just because he was giving in to logic didn't mean he was happy about it. He was agitated enough, in fact, that he was letting his proper English slip. He very suddenly put down his "anti-matter reversal ray" and decided to work on the Rubiks cube that was on his desk. He wasn't actually totally sure that he was really ready to give up on the legos being high tech antimatter reversal ray components just yet, but he'd think about it more when he'd calmed down.

Oh,it was so tempting to yes,yes he /was/ an idiot. She held back though-Deltar was cool.Maybe he wouldn't think it was too funny.Nyeeeh.Braking up her oh-so-wonderful box(which takes some time, for lego's have smooth edges),Buffy just smiled and said,"Sure you knew,sure..."The pure sarcasm in her voice was needlessly thick,as she felt like she needed to wake up for not calling him an idoit. It was funny,though-This...oddity,a Cambrian, didn't know that legos were playthings.Ha.Not that she'd shove it in his face just yet...
"I've heard of people that can solve the Rubix Cube behind their back,in a matter of minutes. You know, that used to be a big craze-Books were made simply for the perpose of teaching you how to solve the mind-gagging Rubox Cube.My mom used to tell me about that-Once she got a certain color in a certian corner, she could solve it within seconds."Her voice seemed to get smoother, recalling her past and the stories her mom would tell her in the car to keep her from crying,or getting bored."Mom was always so cool,in her own way..."

Fortunately for Buffy, they didn't have sarcasm on Cambria. If Deltar had realized she wasn't being serious, he probably would have completely lost it. But he just nodded and said, "Of course I did."
He was glad when Buffy changed the subject. Like I said, he was going to think about the legos /later/, when he'd calmed down. "What would be the point of reading a book that told you how to solve it? Doesn't that circumvent the purpose of the cube?" The cube, he knew, really /was/ just a toy, something earthlings had invented to challenge their minds. And of course, cheating to solve it would defeat that purpose.
He heard what Buffy had said about her mother, and asked, "What happened to your mother?" He spoke softly, because he knew how sensitive humans could be about such things.

"Right, then."All she could do was smile and nod, like watching a little kid realize he was using popsickle sticks for something like TV antennas. It was just painfully adorable.
"Just to show off that you can,really.It...it impresses other people. You don't always tell them that you cheated.Plus, the writers of the books get money out of it,you know."It was true-IF you figured out the secret to the Rubix Cube, you figure you can write a book and make...a heck of alot of money. At least, back when the Rubix Cube was big and all.Now it was just a cute little cheap toy.
"Nothing,actually...Nothing fatal.I visit her sometimes...she doesn't know I do,though. She thinks I'm...dead."Ooooh,good job,Deltar. You get a recollection of dear Buffy's past."Ya see...I had two brothers, and a baby sister.Jeshika...the baby,Jesh was...got cold. She kind of,got sick, really bad.Her grave isn't too far from here, actually."At this point, she was keeping a strait face, although it was sadly appearent that she was cracking on the inside. The girl tried to focus on some distant random object, zone out.Not pay attention to what she was saying."My mom and dad were....sad.They were at a bar,got drunk.A nice guy came up,comferted them.Got them to sign some papers...We were officialy their property. We still are.We...Marcus,Trey and me,they took us to the lab.Trey was seriously...disturbed,before hand. The lab didn't help, especially making him Squirrel Boy,getting ridiculed, teased. And Marcus...he was only...he was still tiny.A little kid. They tried...tried ot make him a kitten.Kitty Boy.The look on his face wasn't like mine and Trey's...He was happy. He /wanted/ that. And he was the one who...never made it...He never even got a tail."Buffy's eyes glazed over, her mind numbing as it usually did when she retold the tale, practicing at night, coming up with a script to tell her mom."The loss of Marcus just made Trey worse. It wasn't the first time he attempted suicide. Then I learned how I could escape.I acted dull, drugged, and it made them happy. But the crap they used to keep me from...going through things...It wasn't working how they planned.I could only get my brother out,but as soon as we were in safer grounds,he broke into histarics...his tail went all crazy, and I remember him climbing a tree, muttering about the lab.He...reminds me of Adrian,a little...They both seem so insecure.Trey went his own way,and I found the house."A little tear was welling up in her left eye,her steady...voice betrayed her.But the ghost girl wiped it away, and tried to change the subject."Sooo....Have you heard of Star Wars before?"
ooc;Figured this could help out with Echo a little bit :3

Ah. That explained the Rubix cube thing, then. Deltar knew how much humans liked to impress other humans. Of course, Cambrians weren't immune to that sort of thing, but it was to a far lesser degree.
As little as Deltar knew about humans, he could see that Buffy was getting emotional. He understood; he knew as well as anybody how family could be an emotional subject. He thought about how much he missed his family, and wondered if they were ever coming back for him. And even if they did, how would they ever know where to find him? He tilted his head to look up at the darkening night sky through the window, and sighed sadly.
He was glad when Buffy changed the subject. "Star Wars?" The name was vaguely familiar. Oh yeah, that was the title on the box that Alan had given him for Christmas. He picked the box up off of his dresser and showed it to Buffy. "Is this what you are speaking of?" He hadn't watched it yet; he didn't realize what the disk inside the box was supposed to be for.
(So . . . are all those memories you want to give to Echo, then? And is there more, or can I go ahead and start roleplaying Echo as Buffy? And also, which of her ghost abilities are instinctive/which are learned? And, just for future reference, I think I like PMed mindstuff better than posted, because it's easier for me to refer back to. Man, roleplaying Echo is confusing.)

(Well, you can certainly post it if you prefer. And, not meaning to sound impatient or anything, but, well, I would like to be able to roleplay Echo again without having to mess with the timeflow. That's why I haven't entered her in the Danica board yet, in case anyone's wondering. So . . . soon would be good on the mindstuff.)

ooc;Sorry...I typed a big fancy thing /twice/,and both times my finger slipped on the escape button and killed it...So I became discouraged, and decided to write it in a minute.
But,basically(without my prettiful explination about everything),"flying",going through things, and becoming /kinda/ invisible are the main instictual things.By kinda,I mean you're...you're like a translucent blob.Whatever behind you is blurred...So you can tell where you are, unless you have awesome stealth skizzizles. Also, there's this nagging feeling to be as high as possible. You eventually learn how to become completely invisible, make little shield-type things, and those lufferely purpley discs >:3
Mind you,the purpley discs can be lethal to anyone but the owner.
