A little over a year. It was started on October 15, 2004.

I do have one question. Where is the House, roughly? I'm curious mainly in case climate becomes an issue. Which it may.

Erg! Never really thought of that. We'll have to decide... I'll make a poll. So people can vote on where they want it to be.
I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the US, though. Not that that helps much.

Zeeepherrrr...how do I nicely ask people if they could maybe not /one-line/ before this place turns into Neo?
Wait, did /that/ sound mean?

No, souleh, it didn't sound mean. It sounded quite reasonable.
If they seem like they're just being lazy, a simple "Please don't post one-liners. They make our boards look less pretty-ful" or something like that would do. If they seem like they really don't know how to roleplay well, a few pointers would be ok, but try to phrase them as suggestions. We don't want to scare too many people away.

'Kay. 'Cause it's one of my biggest pet peeves. >.> And with all these new people, I've noticed it in places.
And are you saying I'm scary?

Well... sometimes. But not nearly as scary as some. Like the people on neo who think being literate means describing their character's eyes as "glittering orbs" and go around flaming anyone who's intro is less than seven posts long.

The most annoying user on Neo is some goody2shoes person who has a siggy that says "I'm not mean, just honest." and goes around making fun of people for misspelling a word or a newbie because they don't know what a paintbrush is. And other thing like that.

Thank ye, I think. But I'm stopping cluttering you 'Ask Zepher' board, now.

I'm sorry I brought it up. Let's not clutter up the "Ask Zepher" board with this conversation. It's here so that people can look up what questions others have asked.

What does it mean if someones a 'Former Resident'?

It means that they have posted enough to reach the "New Resident" status, and then been inactive for at least 90 days.

This is a 'just wondering' question: Are you going to change the board's colors for Christmas?

Might. If I get around to it. I'm not making any promises for the time being.

Kind of a silly question, but... do we have to finish one thread before we can start another?

Nope! Just make sure you remember which threads you have your character is in...

Well, first you'll want to put up a description of your character here: afterthelab.proboards37.com/index.cgi?board=characterThen, you can bring your character in on any of the "in character" boards - the ones named after different areas of the House. There's really no right or wrong way to do it.

Whats with this 'Karma'?

Heh. It's just a fun little feture I thought I'd turn on, at least for a while. Basically, you can choose either "Exalt," which will bump the other person's Karma up, or "Smite," which will bump it down, for each person.
