Yeah that's good, or she could be like hugging her knees to her chest, if that isn't too hard. Don't do something that'll be too hard, I don't want you to strain yourself for me. <3

I like the knees-hugging idea. I'll try that.

Okay, I've been working again. So here's Pipsqueak. Behold! Finally decided to give up on the fur effect I was looking for. We'll just say the fur is implied. So thus Kat will be done soon. EDIT: Bonus!! I got Kat done, too! Zim, please tell me if she needs to look fuzzier.

I've been working on Dahlia, but I can't quite figure out how the eyes should look. Thus, you get choices. Dahlia #1Dahlia #2Dahlia #3Dahlia #4And, as usual, tell me anything that could be made better.

I like #2 best. ^^ She looks great Tobey!
One question- if she were to be wearing shorts, would it look like she wasn't wearing pants? I only ask because she's normally wearing shorts, but I don't want her to look naked in the picture. XD

Dahlia with shortsWhat do you think? I don't think she'll look naked at all once color is added.

Well I also gave her a tank top, so I guess go ahead an use mine. Tobey, you = teh rox. I never would have been able to even come close to making a pixel form of Dahlia.
This picture of the house and its residents is going to be SO hawt once everything's finished! Yeee I'm so excited! *glomps*

As I think I mentioned on the "Floorplan!" board, I'm going to re-do the picture of the House to fit with the floorplan. And /this/ time, rather than just going off and doing my own thing, I'm going to ask for input! What a thought! Anyway, here's the (very rough) sketch (here I'm assuming that the answer to the question that I asked in "Floorplan!" is "yes"; if I'm wrong I can change it). Most of it (especially proportions and such) is subject to change. This is just a basic idea of what I thought it might look like from the floorplan. The House (very rough sketch)I saw after I did the sketch that the side windows on the first floor were, in fact, in front of the bushes, whereas I had hidden them behind said bushes. That will change in the final drawing. There were a few questions that I particularly want input on. -Should there be a tree in the front yard? Or even multiple trees? -Did I get the colors right on the last go-round? Are there any colors you might like to see the House done in? (just to look at and decide if you like, maybe? Changing colors is easy) Were the window panes, lawn, bushes, and wood good colors? (again, I can do them in different colors if anyone wants to see what that looks like) -Should the roof's shingles be wood instead of slate? -Was the House's outside walls' texture right on the last one, or did anyone envision a different kind of paneling? -I'm fairly sure the windows were too small (and were the wrong style) on the last go round. So does anyone know what the windows ought to look like? -Finally, did anyone picture something at odds with what I have shown in the very rough sketch above? I must apologize (again) for slacking off on you guys' characters. I'll try to get back on the ball with that, if my artistic muse will cooperate with me. Which means it could still be a while.

-Should there be a tree in the front yard? Or even multiple trees? Yush, cause I remember Kat going angst about having to hide in one before -nodnod-
And the color of the house is manufique, or however tis spelled, DON'T YOU DARE CHANGE IT OR I'LL... um... LEAVE THIS SITE!!
Can add more suggestions later, but these are the ones I knew immidiantly [/size]

-Should there be a tree in the front yard? Or even multiple trees? Definitely! Trees are teh awesome. You should go for oak or maple, because they tend to grow great climbing branches and also turn absolutely amazing colors in the fall. -Did I get the colors right on the last go-round? Are there any colors you might like to see the House done in? I like the brown, but I think a greenish tinge would also look good. Not too green, but maybe a kind of bayou color, if you get my meaning. Just a thought. -Were the window panes, lawn, bushes, and wood good colors? Loved all of it. ^^ If you go with the green, maybe slightly darker wood (but only slightly). -Should the roof's shingles be wood instead of slate? Nah. Slate rocks. (Pun intended.) -Was the House's outside walls' texture right on the last one, or did anyone envision a different kind of paneling? I love the paneling. The semi-aged look is great. -I'm fairly sure the windows were too small (and were the wrong style) on the last go round. So does anyone know what the windows ought to look like? From what I've seen, most Victorian houses that have been updated since the early 1900's have two-paneled windows, most likely like the same ones you have on your house and all around your neighborhood. Victorian houses also almost always have shutters on each window, and often have thin glass windows with several panes or stained glass (or both) on either side of the door. Finally, the front door tends to have a curved handle rather than a knob, like this: Picture. That's just for accuracy though... Also, many (though certainly not all) Victorian houses tended to have what looked like a tower from the outside with a pointed roof (and entirely too many roof edges in general, due to the different ceiling heights and slopes in each room), usually attached to the master bedroom and containing a wide window seat with storage underneath. Like this. Sorry for all the detail. I love architecture, and I love designing victorian style houses on my house design program. xD -Finally, did anyone picture something at odds with what I have shown in the very rough sketch above? I don't really have any problem with it, but I liked the old image in that it had what looked like it could be an almost-wraparound porch. Also, it seems that there are far too few windows, and only two floors. The last one is my main point; there should definitely be three floors when viewed from the outside. Lengthy, I know. Sorry. ^^;;

Don't leave us, Zim! At this point, I'm just taking suggestions for colors to try out; who knows, somebody may find one that you like even better.
Don't apologize, lengthy posts rock!
Actually, 'what kind of trees should they be?' was going to be the very next question I asked. You must be psychic. The next question, though, is where should they be. Near the House, near the foreground, near the sidewalk, away from the sidewalk? Lunar, that might be something you could include in the floorplan, maybe?
Bayou-brown, eh? Yeah, I can see that. If you could give me a reference picture for the color you're thinking of, that would be cool. Otherwise, I reserve the right to completely misinterpret 'bayou color.'
My turn to be psychic; I already planned to re-use the door I used on the original House-drawing (the door was, after all, probably the part I was the very most happy with), and that door happens to have exactly the sort of door-handle you're talking about. ;D
Whoa, you have a house design program? Cool!
Some of the things you mention (too few windows, non-wraparound porch, lack of a tower) are due to me wanting to follow Lunar's floorplan. It is her House, after all. (We just live in it. XD) And the point of me re-doing the House was to have drawing and floorplan agree. So, within that constraint, did I get the roof angles and such (particularly for the lower floor's roof) more-or-less right?
There /are/ three floors, aren't there? There's three rows of windows, anyway. It's just that the second and third floors don't really have an external feature to separate them. Should they?
EDIT: I just spotted where I can put a couple towers! And I feel like an idiot for not noticing those round 'rooms' at the back corners of the third and second floors (which look like they were /intended/ to be towers) before. *imagines what that would look like* I see awesomeness.

Did an updated sketch. The House with unhidden windows, towers, and trees!I went ahead and put sketch-trees (the things that look like chicken-wire on a stick) where I pictured trees to be. The one behind the House would only have a few branches showing, the way I picture it in the final drawing. And the one next to the sidewalk will be bigger than the sketch (I drew it small so that it would be easier to remove if we decide we don't like it there). And I think I might also move it just a bit further from the sidewalk and closer to the foreground. As for the towers . . . I dunno. They probably need to be a different style, or there should be something in the middle of the roof to 'balance' them, or something, because right now the House looks way too much like it has ears. So, any thoughts about the trees or towers?

Those are some kick-butt trees!
I like the tree by the sidewalk, but agree that it needs to be moved slightly.
Also, I really like the rap-around porch. Perhaps Lunar didn't think of that in her floorplan? -whipsoutdagger- She just... forgot it... didn't you, Lunar?

Trust me, the trees will be much more butt-kicking when they're done (I've been staring at trees all day today trying to figure out how the light plays off the leaves and such, and how that'll translate into pixels.) Heh, I guess I'm really bored today. So I did /yet another/ sketch. Moved the tree, and I think I might have fixed the 'un-balanced-ness' of the towers. Who'd have guessed that making it even more unbalanced would fix it? Sketch of the House, take three
